Become an SPCA Guardian

Each year SPCA Auckland helps around 15,000 sick, injured and abandoned animals.  With no funding from the government we rely on supporters in the community to help us do our work.  SPCA Guardians are a special group of regular donors who donate via their bank account or credit card each month. By becoming an SPCA Guardian, you will help us take action for animals in five key ways:
Prevent Cruelty: Whenever an animal is found, surrendered or seized, you'll be taking action.
Rescue:You'll be standing beside our Inspectors, rescuing Auckland's animals in need.
Rehabilitate: You'll be helping us to heal Auckland's lost and injured animals

Shelter and Re-home: You'll help provide a warm bed for the animals taking shelter at SPCA Auckland.
Seek Justice: You can help our Inspectorate team bring animal offenders to justice

You could barely tell she was a dog

Muffy was only 9 months old when she was rescued by an SPCA Inspector. She was seized after her owner failed to get her the care she desperately needed.

Her fur had become so severely matted and crusted with mud around her face that you could barely tell she was a dog. She was in such a state of neglect that she had developed an extremely painful ulcer on her right eye from the fur constantly rubbing her face, and now has a permanent scar on her eye.
