Personal details

Please note our minimum age requirements:

Op Shop positions: 16 years of age
SPCA vehicle drivers: 25 years
All other volunteers: 18 years

  • Weekday volunteers usually volunteer for half a day or one full day every week, for 6 months
  • Weekday volunteers usually volunteer for half a day or one full day every week, for 12 months

Medical and Criminal

If you have any ongoing medical conditions that may be aggrevated by a volunteer role at the SPCA, or working with animals, please let us know. This includes but isn't limited to physical ailments (limiting heavy lifting), allergies to animals, chemicals or environment, stress related, Occupational Overuse Syndrome.

If successful, such information will form part of the SPCA volunteer records. Failure to supply the information requested would prejudice the SPCA's ability to assess your suitability for the position. Information relating to unsuccessful applicants shall be retained by the SPCA for a period of 12 months. The information remains confidential to SPCA Auckland.
